Gator Alternative Choice Education (G.A.C.E.)
The overall goal of the Hampton District #2/Estill High School GACE alternative program is to give students the opportunity to be successful and remain in school by being placed in a smaller and more structured learning environment. The program is geared toward those who have not found academic success, and who want to make a difference in their education. Along with the help of a director, guidance counselors and paraprofessionals, our goal is to provide appropriate short term intervention services to students in grades six through twelve who, for behavioral or academic reasons, are not benefiting from the regular school setting or may be interfering with the learning of others. G.A.C.E. offers a structured, caring learning environment designed to address the academic and social needs of students, thereby improving the quality of their life. Our desired outcome is that our students make progress in both the classroom and in life after school as well.
