2017-2018 Estill High School Teacher of the Year!!!

Shaini Poovadan has 17 years of experience as a highly qualified middle and high school Mathematics teacher. She has been teaching Math at Estill High School for the past three years. Mrs. Poovadan earned her bachelor’s in Education majoring in Mathematics from Kakatiya University, India in 2001, and later obtained her master’s degree in Mathematics.

History in the Making and A Fellowship for the Taking

The Hampton County School District Two family is proud to congratulate two of its own, William Mitchell and De'Aira Bryant.  William, is the first high school student of Estill High School that has graduated college before high school.  He has received an Associate of Science Degree from the University of South Carolina.  De'Aira, has received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of South Carolina, along with a $34,000 fellowship that will afford her the opportunity to obtain her Ph.D.  Read more about our Estill Gator Scholars here.

On May 26, 2016, our district hosted the first A.P.P.L.E.S Gala.  All employees were recognized for their years of dedicated service to our students.  The annual recognition of Teacher of the Year and District Teacher of the Year were announced.  Estill High is proud to have Ms. B. Moomey to represent our school as the 2015-2016 Teacher of the Year.
